Investing in People and Technology
The last few years have been a time of growth and investment for Allwood despite the uncertainty we’ve faced throughout the global pandemic.
We recently hit the 50 staff mark and our plans are to expand and grow further into the future. We have also invested heavily in our technology over the past number of years. Our factory now stands at over 50,000 Sq. ft and the workshop is now heated solely from waste materials and shavings, part of our commitment to be as environmentally friendly as we possibly can.
Allwood has also invested over €700,000 in the latest HOMAG CNC machines including 3 axis, 5 axis and beam saws for improving workflows and systems in our separate machining plant. (Stay tuned here for upcoming features on what our technology can do)
Our investment in technology doesn’t stop there, we’ve also adopted and end to end project management software called Crowsnest which allows us to track every single element of a project from inception to final fit.
Our drawing team was the first in the country to adopt the industry leading “IMOS” CAD/CAM software, we have the ability to offer clients highly detailed drawings which are then linked directly to our machines to make those plans a reality!
Our latest investment is in 3D printers to help our R&D team who we’ll also be introducing to you over the next few months. This is a very important department in Allwood and we’ll have some big announcements on what they’ve been developing later in 2021
